The Tale of the Fabulous Spar Egg McMuffin

Sick today. My roomates have been sick on and off for the past two weeks, so I was just waiting around to catch whatever they had, really. I credit my Disney Princess gummy vitamins for keeping me well so long. Thankfully, my Life Studies instructor is a lovely lady and sent me home this morning when she saw I didn't feel well.

I will now take this opportunity of lying on my bed for hours to comment on my experiences with Welsh food so far: bland. No flavor at all, really. However, my main staple has been what I have affectionately termed an "Egg McMuffin" from the local Spar (grocery store chain) around the corner. Spar associates cook several small things in the store (donuts, hot sandwiches, even chicken legs). These items are available hot for your convenience. A very handy meal. No cooking on my part required, just how I like it. There are several variations of the Spar Egg McMuffins, but my favorite is the simple bacon and egg. (Note: "bacon" in Wales is code for "really delicious ham") It's a breeze to stop by on my way to the art building in the morning and grab one. Total cost to Sarah: 1.75 p (p=pence) Delicious! I have also sampled Spar's plain chicken sandwich (good, if ordinary), chicken tika pastie (yum!), and turkey cranberry pastie (horrid).
