London (Monday): Finale

For my last stop in London, I had to visit the Great Ormond Street Hospital. For those of you who don't know (*cough* Bonnie Boo Bear), J.M. Barrie gifted the copyrights for Peter Pan to this hospital, which specializes in treating children.

London (Monday): The National Gallery/Trafalgar Square, pt. 2

After hitting my main targets in the National Gallery, I walked out onto Trafalgar Square and said, "Well, hello Big Ben! It's such a lovely day and you are so short a distance from me at present that I believe I will visit you again." And then I did.

Lovely.

London (Monday): The National Gallery/Trafalgar Square

Yay!!! I didn't get to see you last time!

The National Gallery.

London (Monday): St. Paul's, pt. 2

Photographs are not allowed inside the cathedral, so I just took a lot of outside pics. This is from the highest you can climb. It was rough, but nothing compared to Florence's Duomo in June ;)

London has lots of great attractions that I thoroughly enjoy. However, it is not the prettiest city in the world. Hm. Maybe I won't go up in the Eye. Paris, je t'aime.

London (Monday): St. Paul's

On the first observatory level.

I couldn't get far away enough to even get a proper picture.

My home, Harrod's. This really doesn't belong on this post, but I didn't have anywhere else to put it. This is the last place I visited on Sunday.

London (Sunday): V&A, pt. 3

Sorry a/b the poor quality images. I am always loath to use flash photography in museums, even if the artifact is made out of stone.

Islamic pulpit.

Delicious Valentino.

London (Sunday): V&A, pt. 2

Love.

A Chanel suit worn by Coco Chanel herself. No biggie.

This was probably my favourite dress in the exhibit.

The V&A also had a wonderful costume exhibit, which I went to town on. I was sad to miss the exhibit of some of Grace Kelly's outfits, which I believe opens in April.

London (Sunday): V&A

Yes, that's right. It's a plaster cast of Trajan's Column.

Oh, look! A reproduction of David in the corner. Hilarious.

One of the "Italian" rooms.

Beauty.

After the Natural History Museum, I walked the short jaunt to the V&A (Victoria & Albert) Museum. A wonderful place, but truly my favorite part was the chandelier in its central chamber. I'm pretty sure it's Murano glass.

London (Sunday): Natural History Museum, pt. 4

GIANT armadillo. I wish I had included a size reference. This guy was enormous.

Beautiful building. Can I own a house like this one day? K, thanks.

These were also enormous. Tri-Sarah-tops!!!!

London (Sunday): Natural History Museum, pt. 3

The dino exhibit was rather well-displayed. You went around on a catwalk to observe the skeletons, then read the info on ground level.

Giant dino arms. Very scary.

Crazy cool/creepy. I don't think I've ever seen an intact snake skeleton before. Thoroughly enjoyable.

More large fossils. The extremely large one down the way is a reproduction because it's not encased in glass.

London (Sunday): Natural History Museum, pt. 2

Fossssssssssssssils. Those large ones were apparently from animals that were similar to dolphins.
This is a giant sloth. Good thing they're extinct, right?

Shiny. Pretty.

Really awsome Earth Hall. I was fascinated by this structure.

Yes, these are stuffed Dodo birds.
